In 2010, China's import and export of electronic information products exceeded one trillion U.S. dollars, the annual import and export volume reached 1.0128 trillion U.S. dollars, up 31.2%, accounting for 34.1% of the total import and export; which exports 591.2 billion U.S. dollars, up 29.3% 37.5% of the country's total exports; imports 421.6 billion U.S. dollars, up 34.0%, accounting for 30.2% of imports. To optimize product structure, increase the proportion of basic industries. In 2010, electronic components, electronic devices and electronic materials and other basic products, outstanding export growth, exports reached 765,682 and 60 billion dollars, up 33.9%, 52.7% and 62.0%, higher than the average 4.6,23.4 and 32.7 percentage points; electronic components and electronic materials and other basic industry export share increased 2.3 percentage points over the previous year, compared with 5.9 percentage points from 2005. In 2010, computers, communications equipment and home appliances exports 2172,1027 and 877 billion U.S. dollars, up 29.2%, 22.8% and 15.5%, the growth rate is lower than average.

In 2010, exports of general trade of electronic information products, 97.7 billion U.S. dollars, up 46.7%, the proportion of total exports reached 16.5%, nearly double than in 2005.
